The painted word on Twitter culls lines from current gallery press releases to find out what happens when artistic discourse is allowed to stand on its own. Does it become poetic? Does it become political? Or does it just become pathetic? With entries ranging from the beautifully composed to the almost abhorrent, @thepaintedwrd provides a place for textual threads and unifying themes to emerge from current artistic practice that sits outside the sometimes clouding influence of aesthetic preference. And yet, which works are we really talking about anyway?
